Showdown in the Capital District (RPI @ UC 1/15/10)

Re: Showdown in the Capital District (RPI @ UC 1/15/10)

Sounds like a large RPI contingent at the game. Especially with the Polacek goal... the UC fans are pretty quiet.

Yeah. We always seem to make the trek to Union, though the inverse isn't true. I knew I should have went up to troy on saturday, instead of tomorrow. I'm missing what seems to be a great game.

Very solid first period-RPI leads 1-0. What are the chances that we see a 5 on 3 advantage for us at some time in this game?

Anyone else having trouble with Union's livestats not loading?

I doubt we will see any, but we don't need it; the way our special teams are playing right now :D

Re: 1-0 Rpi

RPI wins the SOG battle, too (9-8). First period since P2 of the game against BU where we led in shots.

Slim. But, you never know. I think Union knows well to not go to the box because of our power play (I never thought I'd say that). Still 40 minutes left, time to anticipate some adjustments, and continue to be tough to play.

Congrats in advance to RPI on the goal.

Fixed that for you.

If it had been a 5-on-3 goal I'd have agreed with you. :D

I guess we're up to 35 seconds on 5-on-3 tolerance now. That's good.

Exactly-no doubt Union will come out a little different in the second period-we will have to make some counter adjustments. I also think Union is very wary of our power play-as well they should be.
