"Avoid the clap" - Jimmy Dugan
The '94-'95 NHL season was shortened, the '04-'05 Stanley Cup is engraved "Did Not Play," and every day this season looks increasingly endangered.
Previous posts on this thread confirm what a simply marvelous site this is for information and insight into the state of college hockey.
Actual hockey news: NHL owners have proposed an end to signing bonuses, a five year contract limit, and big cuts to player salaries. Their proposal would even further widen the gap between haves and have-nots in NHL hockey. Fortunately South Park reruns, snack foods, and trash talk have a greater influence upon college hockey than the game. Perhaps fans in Traverse City could replace their hockey tournament with T.V. cartoon reruns and Cheetos, and benefit college hockey by doing so.
And the NHL has absolutely nothing to do with college hockey. Get your head out of your ivy league ***, numbnuts.

There's already a rookie max, so the current CBA negotiations have very little to do with college hockey, if anything.Actually it does. If there is a rookie max salary, why spend another year in college when you can get that max? You risk injury or underperform the following year and then not getting that max. If there is no rookie max, and a team kinda wants you to sign, you can stay back and hopefully improve your game and your future salary.
That being said, it does not excuse Oro from being an overall moran. Yes, I spelled "moran" "correctly."![]()
