like I said in a post a few months ago, I hope the club team has a good goalie, couldnt understand why the team would only have 2 goalies, we the oz 87 team had 3 goalies and all were staring caliber guys.

Gosek was bringing in a 3rd goalie but he decided he didn't want to play college hockey after the semester started, very thoughtful of him. I don't think a club goalie can play up once the season commences.

wow.so I guess it would be a transfer, or another player as a backup???...anyway adversity can make a team better, lets put a positive spin on this.....anyway the kid Jones may stand on his head for all we know, go get'em Dan

Coach Confirmed that Dan Jones is starting in net, but he can not disclose any injurys legally.

Hopefully we have more info tomorrow.

If this is for certain then I hope I am wrong but I have not seen anything that would lead me to believe that Jones is capable of doing the job. Like I said maybe we will catch lightning in a bottle and he will be ok in this weekends games but beyond that I just don't know. What also needs to happen is the defense, especially Huinink and Mallaro need to step up and help Jones out. They have turned the puck over way too much in their own end and a few of those early in the game could be disastrous for a guy looking to build confidence, in himself, the coach, the team and the fans.

It started out pretty fishy. All I was asking was for more facts and credible sources which Glickman finally provided.

Now I believe it. With all the crap that gets thrown around in here, I don't see the issue in questioning a poster that hasn't been on here much until a legitimate source confirms what they say.

Also: I've been told the 6-week timetable is complete hearsay and Beckwith is considered day-to-day. It's been a lingering issue since the Morrisville game.

Both WNYO and WTOP will have the Utica game live - pre-game @ 6:30p....WNYO will be at Hobart for the game Saturday as well....

Injury or no injury - Jones is the man in net now. Gosek could be saying any number of things about Beckwith's situation, but the bottom line remains that it is DJ time (I like the ring...:cool:). Utica is a dangerous opponent right off the bat though: I would have liked a more gradual change against a less formidable foe, but if things really click for the offense tomorrow, perhaps DJ can weather the storm better...

There's a bright spot to the madness - Beckwith heals and returns in time for SUNYAC action (hopefully not too rusty, mind you)...or perhaps an even brighter spot of Jones becoming the KGT of 2011.:eek: All the best to Beckwith on the mend, but this is DJ's time to shine now.

So who was giving me **** earlier in the year about not needing 3rd goalie? Yeah, **** you!1!:p

Anyways, the defense is going to have to tone down the aggressiveness this weekend to give Jones some help.
