They need to come up with something for when the refs come onto the ice at the beginning of the game to when the players enter. We just would start an OSU chant and stomp our feet at Romney and that seemed to get everyone fired up.

They need to come up with some more taunts for the goaltender too besides just the one after goals.

I have heard the student section cheer when the refs come on the ice however, I'm not sure if they're cheering the refs or getting psych'd for the home team. If they're cheering the refs, it ain't working so they might as well boo them, just start singing "3 Blind Mice" or just repeat "Zebra, Zebra".

I've always thought if someone could put together a good intro video to play before the team comes on the ice with the players saying a couple of things, some highlights and kickarse music, then lead into a Let's Go Lakers chant, that'd pump the crowd up.

I remeber playing at Cornell and when they introduce the visiting team all the students had there backs turned to the ice and were reading newspapers.....when each visiting player was introduce they responded....who the F cares, then when the announcer stated here are your cornell starters, they all thru the papers in the air and went ballistic....pretty cool.......another FYI, hamilton players used to skate the oppisite way in pre-game, we had a nice bang-up with them about it..

The student section did read the newspapers during the Plattsburgh intros, that was a nice touch. Would like to see that for every home game.

We got that in Geneseo....kind of old.....Oswego is better than that, they can come up with something original....

Nice graphics on the Nanooks intro. At least they are playing an intro at Oswego this year but they could at least put the current players in the video.

IMO, there needs to be a general crew in the crowd that gets the OSU chant going down to a science of timing with when the Lakers take the ice - some kind of fiery one liner that gets people stamping and yelling. Maybe an earlier start of Crowd Chant couldn't hurt - it is an excellent tune to jump out onto the ice to!

That taunt and cheer manual is great, but it always comes down to how to create a new call in a naive student section. You just need enough people that'll try it again and again, week in and week out, until the crowd finally gets over just saying "YOU SUCK!". Someone on here going to be at the Cortland game? Let's do it up...

Let's hope the Lakers don't have a Morrisville Moment this weekend and they keep rolling.

what were the fans chanting when the opposing team gets a penalty, they time it with the penalty door closing, I couldnt make it out????? i know in my day the crowd used to spell the players last name out and then give the A-hole chant, not bad...

I really want a new goal song. Zombie Nation is getting old. I love Crowd Chant as the goal song, but it is a good intro song to the players coming out onto the ice. They just need to play the whole song, they play about 30 seconds of it and that's just a tease.

I like that! perhaps that could be an addition to after Foley announces the penalty or just go right into it after the sit down chant.

Just need to coordinate and time it and that could really turn into something. If I was still there I'd give it a test run on Friday.

Does Foley announce one-minute ramining in the period? I can't remember. If he does...that's a perfect set-up for.

Foley: 1 minute remaining in the period
Student section: and "insert visiting team's name here" still sucks!

I used to do the remote control goalie, but that didn't catch on. We do need some more creativity. I remember we Scott was with Oswego, we had the Goalie-Sieve Chant down. However, that got lost.

Some of my favorites from DI hockey.

Penalty announcement (keep in mind I don't think this guy sucks, just using him as an example)

Plattsburgh penalty on 24 Dylan Clarke (Crowd yells SUCKS). 2 minutes for (SUCKING)

Or when a team kills off a penalty Plattsburgh returns to full strength.. BUT THEY STILL SUCK D**K!
