C) The mascot can't look PO'ed - there must be a certifiable "cheerful expression" that the mascot looks like it could turn to, in order to seem less aggressive and more fan-friendly.
...:mad::mad::mad:

The other points might be reasonable in today's world, but isn't part of the idea of the mascot to promote the idea that the opposition is going to be destroyed by your team.

Look at Norwich's lefthand Russian Horseman - this guy is going to slit the throats of the other guy. Furthermore, unlike the U. S. military, he has a beard ... so much for gender neutrality

The horse is a filly ;)

(as I was told by Cadet Crosby)

No probem - he/she is transgendered

After a winter's gale on the Lake, everyone looks white (pale)

Use Bruce Delventhal

Excellent, sir! Those sticks-in-the-muds will be beaten yet.

That point is everything - having a threatening mascot to drive school pride and add a formidable look to the team is always superior to having "the friendly mascot that interacts with the families and children".

Is it a Russian horseman? I always thought it had a look of a German Uhlan myself...

Nevertheless, a fine logo indeed.

I have no idea how he looks in terms of his netminding skills, but he appears to be happy to be in Oswego. His facebook profile picture is a fresh Oswego State Laker logo and he currently resides in Oswego, NY. His profession also is listed as a professional goaltender.

Gosek is quoted in today's Pall-times saying that he may be available for the tourney. Time will tell.

Re: Setting Sail - Oswego State Lakers 2010-2011 Season Thread

Five skaters? I thought we only lost Mike Kavanagh, Brad Devereaux, and Ian Delong. Who are the other two?

Names now absent from the Plattsburgh Roster:

Mike Kavanagh
Ian DeLong
Brad Devereaux
Blair Falotico
James Nietsch

Nietsch transferred to Plattsburgh, allegedly despite Emery's warning that he probably wouldn't make the team. He has yet to suit up for a game this season.
Falotico, like DeLong, Kavanagh, and Devereaux, only dressed for 3 games, and wasn't given enough ice time to really contribute.

From what I've been hearing, Emery encouraged most of these guys to pursue other options, since it was clear they were unhappy with their roles in Plattsburgh this season.

The parents and family are in Fort Wayne Indiana for some indoor racing and decided to take in a Fort Wayne Komet vs Mississippi CHL game. Just got a text that Neil just scored and now is in the box for the Komets. Should have some pictures later tonight. They said they havnt seen Boyd out for Mississippi yet.

Is that where the infamous chili bowl is?
