I thought UAA athletics was cancelled last week and UA_ had assumed all pony thread duties and responsibilities.Guys... we are playing the Nanook version of Alaska, not the Seawolf version. Pony false alarm.![]()
the John Scott movie is a go. apparently an expensive buy, so many bidders. Mitch Albom to write script. do you believe in miracles?
When it hits DVD (probably a straight to DVD movie), I'll most likely buy it, unless it's a complete train wreck. I've bought "worse" for more money.
I believe this is the highest ranking by AIC hockey in ANY category during the modern era. Go Yellow Jackets!who MTU would prefer win a game...

To me it's more of who loses rather than who wins.
So my teams who it's important lose.
Cornell, Minnesota, Penn State, Lowell. This is going to go into the playoffs if you ask me.

Ok well I'll take it on faith. My ranking is about improving MTU's RPI, a positive result by a higher ranked team on my list over a lower ranked team increases MTU's RPI without them playing at all...obviously at some point we're going to want Minnesota/Penn State to lose because them winning helps them more than MTU. Lowell and Cornell are very low on the list.
if you determine the outcome of every remaining game including conference tournaments by that ranking MTU finishes the season 10th in PWROk well I'll take it on faith.
What doesn't take into account how a team is playing? My ranking is about how it helps MTU...thats all. It is not predicting who will win in any way, its just predicting who should win...Well here's the thing.
It doesn't take into account how teams are playing.... this week. Example. Harvard has not been playing all that well of late. The defense has been exposed. They have been getting some wins but overall not a top 10 team. So this week they are going up to the north country to play Clarkson and St Lawrence. On paper they would win both, but don't count on it.( I'm betting St Lawrence beats them.) I think their best result is going to be a split on the weekend.
Same for a number of other match ups.... Cornell is at home vs Union. On paper Cornell wins, but I think it's a toss up. Same for the RPI game, a toss up. So it looks like to me Cornell splits as well. Though that still leaves them in front of us.
anyway my two cents.
