Re: SCSU @ UND Oct. 28 & 29: A Battle of Like-Minded Schools
My fault and I apologize.

I didn't catch any of the Wisco games, but I hear that our defense hasn't been as good as it's supposed to be. These games shall be interesting.
Again, I hate to have rational and insightful banter in this thread, but....
Our biggest question mark by far is our blueline. We've got players that have experience or talent, but not both... Jensen and Gravel are our best defensemen and both sophomores, Jensen a little better defensively and worlds better offensively than Gravel. Taylor Johnson is I hear made great strides since last season, but he'd have to to still be in the lineup, and our other upperclassman is Zabkowicz who is is consistently inconsistent. For every play he makes that makes us cheer he does two things that leave us yelling "What the hell?" Prochno and Rabey are just what you'd expect from talented freshmen defensemen; raw kids who provide sparks and make you one second think "We've got the real McCoy here" and then the next commit hiccups that cause you to tame your excitement and realize the jury's still out.
Couple all that with Lee still not being where we'd hoped he'd be by now, this is a squad that's capable of getting lit up (5 against UNH, 5 with an empty-netter against NMU and 4 against UAA) but also capable of going off too (7 against UNH Friday night). I don't have anything to back this up but I thought I saw something once where we returned the second most scoring in the WCHA this year, and we've got great balance up front: LeBlanc, Feslter and Novak are seniors, Eddy and Hanowski juniors, Reid, Dowd and MacMillan sophomores and then a decent group of freshmen forwards who actually at this point are probably more useful for a physical presence than a scoring touch.
I think these could be some close games, and while I don't really wanna get into a shootout cause I want to see our D and Lee show that they can really stand up for a whole weekend, we certainly have the firepower to get into a back and forth, wide-open game. With as inconsistent as both teams have been, start all your UND and SCSU fantasy players this weekend.
