SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

Re: SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

You can tell it is Off Season.

Not only has posting dwindled, but the St. Cloud Times removed the "Husky Hockey" drop-down from the "Sports" tab on its webpage.:(

They are just trying to save money. To create a tab just for hockey takes a lot of time according to them.

Re: SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

I'd like to think so but can they give him the playing time he's looking for next year?

I've read he was willing to go back to the USHL next year so he may not "need" to play next year in college.
There has to be some other story behind this, I've heard he has "attitude issues" but I've never thought that needs to be a reason not to bring someone in.
You don't have to like everyone you play with.

Re: SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

I wonder where Walters is going to end up. I am sure someone is going to offer him something soon. He put up good numbers on a very bad team. His penalty minutes remind me of Roe and from the limited times I have seen him play he is a skilled player.

As for the story behind it all. Hammy says it has to do with current Gopher players not getting along with him and Lucia not wanting that conflict this year because he is on the hot seat.

Re: SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

What does our team need to improve on for next year?

Here's my list

1. Less passing, more shooting on the power play.

2. Less cute, more shoot, in general.

3. More physical, better and more checking.

4. Killer instinct (putting teams away instead of all the close games, ties, etc.)

5. Avoid letting up after scoring goals.

6. Keep scoring.

7. Get laid more often

I thought getting laid has a negative effect on men when it comes down to athletic performance.

Sometimes it can be an athletic performance. I think it mostly depends on how much the tongue is involved. I mean, I can do push-ups with my tongue.
