Mitch has some stats/qualites that make him look interesting, and maybe I'm in the minority here, but even with Eddy out the first half of the season I see MacMillan as a bench player to start. As for a scoring role... not as a freshman... possibly as an upper classman.

Any thoughts on Penn State hockey? Either as it affects SCSU hockey, or just in general?

Better cherish those Gopher games while we've still got them - because they're not coming to St. Cloud anymore if they don't have to.

Good. Less bandwagon fans taking up seats that real fans could be inhabiting.

Besides...the Gophers aren't any good anyway. Wonder how it'll feel to finish 5th in a 6 team league.

Let's hope the gophers get into some crappy Big Ten league. We need to have good, strong teams in the WCHA, not wimps like the goofers.

I agree. They are fun to play against.

This is all just speculation, but if the Big Ten did come about where would they play their conference championship? Would the Excel stay loyal to the WCHA?

There's talk of St. Paul, there's talk of Detroit, there's talk of Chicago. I think they'd rotate it, and if they did keep it at one site, I think it would be Chicago. So maybe the WCHA could still use the X, and if they rotate it, then when it was the BTHC's turn to use the X, then they'd send the WCHA's out to Denver.

You're right. They will play in a six team league, leaving the majority of the games as non-conference. I don't get it, unless they try to attract others to the Big 10. Wisc. and Michigan will dominate this league.

To begin with... MAYBE. It'll be a few years out before this happens, things may have changed by then. Sports are cylical, you're forgetting that two of those other "has-beens" have a combined 3 NCs this decade.

Currently making a nice little season intro clip to be shown on the big boards throughout the ice cream social, I hope you all come out and grab your tickets!
