SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

Re: SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

Good for Rud but it sucks to lose a coach this close to the season.

Re: SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

I find it hard to believe that Bret has nothing better to do than come back here and be an assistant.

Of course he has other things to do, nor does he need the money, but you never can tell what may appeal to whom. Do you know what Phil Housley is doing nowadays?

Being a terrible color announcer during the MN State Tournament.

There are plenty of useless men's sports as well. Useless= Wrestling, swimming, Tennis and golf.........

Tommyboy obviously was cut from sports teams in Jr. High and has no idea what it is like to be a student athlete. This is why he can not appreciate the value of college athletics other than hockey.

 Oh please, get off your high horse. I played sports growing up and in high school. I can see the value in college sports, but not at the expense of a quality education. If we don't have money for all these programs, then you need to get rid of some. Sports come out the general fund at SCSU. I don't think it is right to cut certain majors or have the ability to give a top notch education to the students of the school so someone can roll around on a mat with another guy. If you are not smart enough to figure that out you have problems.

Coaching a high school team is a part time job, unlike an assistant job at SCSU which is not only full time, but includes tons of travel and long hours. :p sorry I will butt out now.:D

Has the official 2010/2011 roster come out anywhere? The SCSU school website still has the 2009/2010 one.

I tired to tell people nobody cared about the crappy football team.:D

Its only been a week, check's in the mail. :p

Some of the bigger donors might be testing the waters, see what everybody is doing before doing something like say committing to match funds perhaps.
