SCSU @ Denver--November 27th and 28th

Re: SCSU @ Denver--November 27th and 28th

Excellent effort by SCSU tonight. They are a solid team--and are better than their record indicates. They have a good forecheck and kept gaining the O zone uncontested tonight. Our first two lines did not play with nearly the intensity they did last night. Martin and Colbourne were ineffective (Colbourne both nights). The first period was when we lost this game.

Crazy weekend for the top ten. Who the hell gets the #1 spot Monday?

Lasch is a difference maker

Indeed he is.

BIG two points for the Huskies tonight and they really needed that win for their confidence. Good luck to the Pios the rest of the year and hopefully we'll see you in the F5 or possibly after that.

Quite frankly, I've always thought you were a jerk too.

Maybe Princess Sunshine's joojoo is wearing thin. :D

Geeez. Obsessed a little? LOL Now where is my can of mace??

Re: SCSU @ Denver--November 27th and 28th

He's going to be missed next year, even if he is the "worst defensive forward in SCSU history" ;)

Well his career +/- is something like +2. Hartigan's was over +40...and that was a PPG-heavy era for the Huskies.

Re: SCSU @ Denver--November 27th and 28th

Congrats to SCSU. The Huskies' effort was much better than Denver's, and hungrier team won tonight. SCSU won the puck battles and made things happen, while the Pioneers really did not expend very much effort until the latter part of third period, when it was too late to dig out and SCSU went defensive.

Denver is 7-0 on Fridays, 2-4-1 on Saturdays this year. Can't really figure out why Denver didn't play as hard as they should have, but SCSU was much more deserving tonight.

Don't waste your time.:)

I didn't watch or listen tonight, but it sounds like they played hard and put in a great effort. Now they need to start sweeping teams if they want to have a chance at making the NCAA's. .500 hockey is not good enough and sweeping the next two series is a must even if playing in Alaska is tough and CC is playing great.

Husckeys have had a killer early schedule. But for the unfortunate split (historically they sweep) at Michigan Tech, St. Cloud would be positioned as one of the top teams in the WCHA.

St. Cloud is one of, if not the, best offensive teams in the conference. Resolution of the teams's starting goalie may be huge in the second half of the season. St. Cloud has defeated all the top teams in the WCHA.

Re: SCSU @ Denver--November 27th and 28th

Congrats to St. Cloud. Solid weekend of hockey by the Huskies.

Putting six goals by Chevy was quite a feat. He'd only given up 8 goals in his seven other games.
