SCSU at CC: Small Rivalry - Big Weekend

Re: SCSU at CC: Small Rivalry - Big Weekend

Hey Skeets Tb Waterlover congrats on your teams sweep last weekend. SCSU has a good team very agressive and able to take advantage of forced mistakes on the Gophers. Good luck the rest of the year . I will be cheering them on I hope they can close the deal this year . I think they will be a force in the post season take care ! Turk :)

thanks Turk. hope to see you at the final five.

Re: SCSU at CC: Small Rivalry - Big Weekend

looks like both games will be on B2 Networks. hopefully this years broad cast will be better. We bought both games last year and the video feed was that from the jumbo tron camera and the audio was some radio dj who wasn't all that great on the play by play.

It's always weird for me when we play CC because I have literally nothing against them(excluding the wcha). I like their style of hockey. They are not particularly goonish. Their fans aren't arrogant donkey holes for how prestigious their program has been.
So, now I am hoping the huskies keep up their run of form as it's been lately and hope to get some points on the Road.
And with the top six teams in the league all playing each other, the standings after this weekend should be interesting, considering there is only 2 points between 1st and 5th.

The B2 fees is always their jumbo tron video feed with the radio guys. It is still worth the money to watch the games. I will be up at my cabin so I won't have a internet feed to watch the games. Is DU on this weekend on fox rocky mountain so I can at least hear some score updates? This should be a fun series to watch and both teams are very good. Hopefully the boys can keep this role going.

Tommyboy, Du is playing UND, so they will be on one of the Fox Sports channels.

Turk: Thanks for the congrats. It was payback time for giving the season to you guys last year.

We will tame those Tigers.

Nice, I will be watching at the cabin then. It is suppose to be really cold this weekend so I won't be fishing to late in the night.

Re: SCSU at CC: Small Rivalry - Big Weekend

Hopefully the Huskies can win a few more faceoffs and get a few more shots than this past weekend!

Re: SCSU at CC: Small Rivalry - Big Weekend

No more rope a dope, or prevent defense or Dahl stall, whatever it is they do when they try and let the other team back in the game. The winning combo is Dunn on Friday, Lee on Saturday.

Re: SCSU at CC: Small Rivalry - Big Weekend

Dang, St. Cloud is on a roll. That one lose and one tie in their last 13 games I assume without looking it up is against CC. St. Cloud almost always plays well at the World Arena, appears that will be the case again this weekend.

Go Tigers!!

Re: SCSU at CC: Small Rivalry - Big Weekend

Yes those are the only two blemishes on this run and i'm sure the boys remember that.

Re: SCSU at CC: Small Rivalry - Big Weekend

No one knows. He got sick last week and while he should be cleared by the weekend, nothing is for sure.

Re: SCSU at CC: Small Rivalry - Big Weekend

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

I am enjoying the non-mediocrity of the team so far this year.

Re: SCSU at CC: Small Rivalry - Big Weekend

Our last loss was to these cats, let's not let them end our little streak as well.

LET"S GET JACKED UP!

Good luck to former CC player Jack Hillen. I hope he recovers quickly from his gruesome injury suffered earlier this week. The few times I've seen him on TV this season he seemed to be having a productive year while playing for a NYI team which is struggling. I always enjoy seeing a collegiately trained player doing well in the NHL. It sure looks like Hillen has a long NHL career ahead of him.

He is out 6 to 8 weeks with a broken jaw and lost a number of teeth. It appears he will make a complete recovery. He has been a regular in the line up most of the season and has played well. They don't rely on him for offense like CC did and he has really shown a knack for good, crips passes out of the d-zone. His job is to get the puck onto the sticks of players like Tavares, Okposo and Moulson. The Isles are much better than they have been in past seasons and are in the thick of the playoff race for one of the last spots. I wouldn' be surprised to see them get the #8 seed in the east. Roloson has been very good in goal all year. DiPietro returned recently and is playing well for the most part. They have two strong goalies who can carry the team when they need to. Will they win a series if they make the playoffs? I would doubt it but stranger things have happened. In all likelihood they would be facing the Washington Ovechkins in the 1st round. There are 8 teams within 1 point of each other vying for the 6th thru 8th playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. This will probably go down to the final games of the season to determine who gets the 8 playoff spots in the East.

Re: SCSU at CC: Small Rivalry - Big Weekend

Six Minnesotans on the CC roster makes the series a little more interesting.

I'm curious as to why/how Prosser has ZERO PIM for the season. Seems almost impossible for a defenseman through 25+ games.
