Met many members of both teams at the CIC Golf Tournament a couple weeks ago. Coach Motzko has a solid men's team that seem to have a lot of fun together. Some of those guys look so young, especially the new guys from France and Finland.

I'd say there's only a little over a month until butthurt posts begin, but who am I kidding? That's all our fanbase does all year long.

How dare they rank a guy with 41 points last year 2 spots ahead of your guy who had 32!!!! What the hell could they be thinking? It must be that dam Gopher bias! :p

A Gopher fan walking into an SCSU thread and saying we're obsessed with the Gophers. IALTO.

Schmidt was on the powerplay with Haula, Rau and B-Jugs... yeah, he put up a lot of assists. In their first two years Jensen leads him 11-3 in goals and Schmidt has scored as many even strength collegiate goals as I have. And in case you didn't notice, SCSU didn't have the offensive year the U did last year. When you factor in defense, you know... the main objective of their position, I'd take Jensen over Schmidt in a heartbeat, and so would anyone who's watched them over the last two years at this level.

However, if you go by who went to what school and just look at points, which I am sure these guys probably did, then by all means, tout the kid with the buck-toothed rodent on his helmet.

Schmidt ahead of Jensen is a joke.

Schmidt is a great player who had a break out year last season. But I'd be giving Jensen the edge between the two. Jensen's skating ability might be best in the WCHA.

Looking forward to getting the season started.

I might not put Schmidt ahead of Jensen based upon results to date but perhaps those doing the ranking anticipate something different this coming year?

Either way it doesn't matter, Jensen will be a stud again this year.
