On Malone's hit the players head was down a lot longer than Marvin's was. On Marvin's the guy turned down at the last second and there was nothing he could do. Malone could have laid off on his hit, but to be fair it's not that easy. I watched it quite a few times and does look like he follow's thru with the elbow to the guys head which made it even worse and caused the whipping motion that snapped his head back and hit the ice. I would guess that extra follow thru motion is what caused his neck to break when his head hit the ice. At the same time I don't think malone was trying to hurt him or end his career....

SCSU students to vote on fee hike to benefit athletics
I could see the 74 cent one passing, not sure about the additional dollar one going thru. Still, at $1.74 per 15 credit hours a semester, thats only $26.10 for a student. Hardly breaking the bank.

Rescued thread from page 3. These Husky boys need to learn to put teams away when they have the chance. A 4 minute power play in the 3rd, with 2 of those minutes being 5 on 3, and we don't score? We didn't deserve to win that game, anyway. Dunn lets in a softy to end the OT in quick fashion, but we never should have3 been in that position. Tying goal scored with a Beaver right in front of a wide open net, untouched by any Husky. Frozen 4? It might take a major miracle.

Simple math says a win against MSU Moorhead will put SCSU football into the playoffs. Lose, and you're out, but would be doing Michigan Tech a huge favor. Right now you guys would be traveling to Nebraska-Kearney, but they have a huge game this weekend thats pretty much a de facto Playoff game with Colorado Mines this weekend. A win by Mines should put them into the playoffs over Kearney, but might need Earned Access to do it perhaps.
Either way, its a hell of a lot better than the BSC bullpucky!

It would most likely total something over $900,000 for the year as well, just depending on how far over that plus is for 17,000. That is for both fee hikes passing. If only the 74 cent one passes, then its most likely going to be something under $400,000 for the year.

So, what are the chances of passing? Wiill the only students voting be those who are opposed to it, and sports fans? Do enough students give a rip either way to go through the major hassle of voting?
