I'd point out that modern medicine has enabled many of them to stick around and vote for at least 10-15 years longer than they typically used to. Bitter racist ol' bitties, especially.

But with rural hospitals closing, community health funding getting slashed, and morons increasingly rejecting basic medical science in favor of "God's will"...🤷‍♂️

That's not why I'm "running with it," Handy.

I'm not arguing she's naive, I'm saying she is bitterly aware and fell on her sword. If she comes back and runs on it, OK fine, you were right. But for now she's saying "it's good you wished that man into the cornfield Billy." It's easy for us to be purists; we have no responsibilities.
 
In "falling on her sword" (if that's what you believe), she's left her constituents to figure out how to deal with the grenades Trump and his cronies keep lobbing at every branch, department, division, and bureau of the federal government.
 
The demographics is destiny thing is interesting. Right now it's a race. MAGAts are repulsive and can't find mates (consensually). When they do they jam 12 brats into them. They actively promote beliefs that will spike infant mortality. And all these trends will only amplify as they become even weirder and more insulated.

On the other hand, humans educate their women, so we don't breed above replacement level.

And the only people adopting little colored chirrun are Bible thumper homeschool freaks who vote for whatever will expedite the Eschaton.

And the immigrants we are fighting to keep have the Jesus Derp and think every program that doesn't directly benefit them is a slope back to the communist hellhole they left.

She fell on no sword. And you can deny it all you like if a male did this you wouldnt be defending it. You would be calling her another sellout Centrist looking at her next election not what her people need. Not doing it. You lose nothing and you actually are a leader. She is just Gavin Newsom with boobs man. You act like she got on her knees and all of a sudden Michiganders won everything. All they got was platitudes and some bad photo ops. The only people gaining are the car companies (and they too are getting raped) not the voters.

This is not the first time a minority group wanted to prove their loyalty and patriotism to their country and got boned over for their efforts.
 
It just pisses me off that she'd rather chase the "enlightened centrist" vote in rich suburban enclaves by making a show of trying to get Foopers - a majority of whom voted for His Fauxliness - a bit of FEMA relief money that they'll never see (and she knows it).

They'll end up breaking for Dump anyway because they are neither enlightened, nor centrist; just spineless frauds too embarrassed to embrace their proper label.
