My biggest fear is that the constitution is surprisingly vague about how states choose electors. I, like the thread DGF and a patch posted, think that it technically is constitutional. No different than the popular vote pact between states.

I don't think that will happen...but if it does the US dies when the announcement comes. It doesn't matter if it is constitutional or not the second legislatures start overruling the vote is the day the citizens revolt for real. (Not just protests like now) Blood will be spilled...

And certain posters around here will defend it...

January 6th will actually look like a friendly group of tourists compared to what comes if any President is elected because states overruled the will of their voters.

I wonder if state constitutions allow this? Other than that it is 100% plausible. One thing the last few years has taught me is a lot of people don’t think something is possible until it actually happens.

Yes. Or GOP held legislatures are in the works ramming through legislation to allow it.

That gives the state legislatures a lot of (ambiguous and vague) power. They had even more before the Seventeenth Amendment.

Another case where I absolutely believe it, however... if literally anyone else on earth reported it I'd take it seriously. Fuck Rolling Stone.

Politico reports it as well in their Politico PM newsletter, so take that for what it’s worth.

Beer boy and Morton’s are mad that Brett had to leave through the back door the other night because protestors saw him.

the right to eat at Morton’s in peace is deeply rooted in the constitution. Nothing in life worse than someone having their dinner interrupted.

I used to think harassing people at restaurants and public place was over the line.

not anymore. Not by a long shot. They don't get to make decisions and not suffer consequences.

Gee, if only there was a Supreme Court case that had settled a decision where the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution provided a fundamental "right to privacy", and that it also hadn't been recently overturned...

Fuck around and find out...
