I do not believe this is a majority or even a particularly large plurality. I believe it's 10% of the population. It's just that 10% causes 90% of the misery on this planet.

A third of the country (fascists) would murder another third (progressives, elites, the educated), while the remaining third "Good Germans" would allow it as long as they could keep their current jobs, incomes, and homes.
 
My dad believes like Kepler but even he is wavering now. People with logic can be trusted...problem is sooner or later every society begins to become illogical. The uneducated outbreed the educated.

72 million people voted to RE elect Trump. That means they saw him, experienced him, knew the cancer he was and voted for him anyways. That isn't 10%. In a world where facts don't matter right and wrong is subjective.
 
Assume that only 10% or so of the population just doesn't give a shyt about others (or something more actively malevolent), most of us are lazy in some fashion, and at least a third of us are just plain dumb. Add to that mix the manner in which most people receive and process news through a delivery system that is tailored to their specific wants and prejudices, is there any wonder democracy is struggling to function? I'm not sure the messages have changed that much, but there has been a sea change in the manner in which they are delivered and consumed.

50 people stage a rally 20 minutes ago in another state or country, and news of it will show up on our screens immediately and it will be presented in the manner that will appeal to our opinions and prejudices. I don't know how far the algorithmic nonsense goes, but we may not see that news at all if it is not something we are predisposed to take interest in.
 
This was even nutsier than his usually nutty nonsense. Kavanaugh was a circuit judge. His career was going along just fine. Yes, without Trump he likely wouldn't have risen much higher (maybe he'd leave the court and go into private practice) in the courts, but only because there wasn't much above him.


Trump is a cult leader.

That's going to leave a mark, too. We saw in the hearings how thin-skinned Drunky McRapist is. He is the type of bully who holds grudges. Should be fun when the Krazy Kapitol Koup cases start filtering up. Circle K may be up for some hot sedition punishment action.
 
One of the easy ways to spot a cult is looking at how they talk about people who leave.

No one leaves on good terms. If you're out, you're a lying liar that lies; a monster; you were never good to begin with and had no real part in our organization anyway. Who?

SCOTUS tells Biden Congress has to specifically pass a housing moratorium, lifts the ban from two weeks ago. 19th shadow docket ruling that changed status quo this term. I'm getting close to Kepler's +6 if they don't even have the balls to sign their names as they **** us
