The Dems on that committee better dam well have the brains to do their job of protecting her without looking like a bunch of whining pols. HRC didn't need help in front of a partisan lynch mob; this woman probably will.

She's got a good lawyer, I think she'll be ready. I just wonder just how far those old codgers on the committee are gonna go in trying to trash her.

That's a good question. They have to exercise a level of caution unnecessary just 5 years ago.

I was part of Greek life in college. Did 20 hours of community service every week, still partied just as hard as the alleged stories coming out, no assaults ever even thought of, because they never happened; men respected the women, and vice versa. There ARE good frats/sororities out there. Unfortunately, some ruin it for everyone else.

Edit: my frat even had a program where we would walk women back to their dorms, 24/7. They gave a call, we'd escort them.

Has 65 women he knew from his high school years on speed dial, keeps detailed calendars from when he was 17, yet can't remember if he spoke to anyone from a specific law firm in the past six months.

Now we know why they set the deadline originally...they knew about this and figured it would break sooner or later. The question is how many others do they know about?

I fund this part interesting:

The New Yorker article also includes a new allegation regarding Mark Judge, who Ford has named as the other man in the room when Kavanaugh allegedly assaulted her.

Judge's former girlfriend Elizabeth Rasor told the New Yorker that Judge once told her about an incident involving him and other men taking turns having sex with a drunk woman. Judge's attorney said he denies the allegation.

"Under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t reveal information that was told in confidence [but] I can’t stand by and watch him lie," Rasor told the magazine.

Now we know that Sicatoka will be by in the morning to tell us why none of this matters and why it is some miscarriage of justice (I bet Alan Dershowitz is frothing at the mouth) and then will throw out some false equivalency about Keith Ellison out there just to be safe but to anyone who actually critically thinks this is rather troublesome. It can be argued that one person is lying or mistaken, but the chances two random women are is much less believable.
