Final: SNC 4 - Marian 1.

SOG (unofficial): 40 -17 in favor of SNC.

SNC got 2 empty net goals, both with less than 1 minute to go in the game. As usual, SNC had a few fits on the Olympic sheet, but pulled off the win in the end.

According to the Marian broadcast things turned to SNC's favor after Fiala had a long talk with the refs to start the third.
You sir are awful.

The message should have read "We apologize for the fault in the broadcasting, those responsible have been sacked."

Actually, my comment about Geneseo was not really based on this weekend's games, but more on my knowledge of what each of the guys brings to the table--skating, passing, shooting, etc. The only thing they seem to lack thus far, based on this weekend's games, is discipline and the ability to stay out of the box.

There are enough professional folks with big titles involved at both schools involved that I am confident those responsible will be dealt with in the coming days. The talent was a simulcast of Fredonia's student run radio station that the kids who run WNYF TV have no control over, which is why I think the plug got pulled and they have been so apologetic. (the radio station picked up on all this and jumped on the mea culpa bandwagon...a bit late, but they seem sincere as well).

In a related note, the heads of WTOP10 Sports and WTOP10 Production reached out to their student counterparts at WNYF TV and offered to host them when Freddy comes to the Campus Center and to share what it takes to produce Hockey Night In Oswego, including how they train and groom and manage air talent. I love the "let's not kick them when they are down, but help them up and dust them off" professional attitude. #ProsWithGPAs

That is nice LEL, but I was making a reference to Monty Python, not so much taking shots at the TV people.

I truly hope you guys turned on WNYO after those guys were muted, because they continue to put on a top notch show. If you MUST have video, mute it and run both streams and just deal with the delay. Trust me, it's well worth it - and those guys deserve some more recognition than they've got since I left.

There is no way around it they have a ton of talent,but they they have to be a team to win the tough ones,they are as we all know one of the top teams in the country to beat,and they will realize this now when all the other teams bring their "A" games.

I agree. That's the big unknown at this point. They lost a lot of great senior leadership from last year and need some others guys to step up.

Maybe Marco was talking to them about the Marian goalie knocking the net off four separate times in the first two periods, at the most inopportune time for SNC..
I did think that he looked better than the guy they played in net the night before..

But Norm, Mass-Boston let Dartmouth score twice in the last minute or so to at least get to three:p.
