Yeah, but Purdy made some excellent saves when the game when the score was still close. If some of those had gone in we probably wouldn't have seen Williams blow the game open like they did. Everytime USM had a chance to take some momentum, Purdy took it away from them, thats how a goalie can steal a 7-1 game.

Middlebury 6, UNE 1, 11:41 left in the third. Shots are 33-11. So where will Middelbury be ranked next week???

It's still not "stealing". You can't steal a game you win handily.

If it was a 1-2 goal game, sure. But not a blowout, that would be called 'your offense flexing its muscles' or some other cliche.

It was only a 2-0 game with about 1:30 left in the 2nd period...Purdy was stealing the game until that point.....now its a mute point, but until that time he kept Williams in the game...is it that hard to understand?

Fixed your post. A mute point can't speak. A moot point is irrelevant. Moot is the proper term :)

No, it's not hard to understand, but it's still very different from "stealing a game". Like you tried to say, it's moot though.

It frustrates me as much as people who use effect when they mean affect.

Bit if Purdy had played human in the first two periods the score would have been 5-3 or 5-4....It's not that hard to understand....At one point the shots were 23-8 in favor of USM and it was a 1-0 game...

That's because Buffalo State isn't broadcasting any games this weekend. I didn't see the crew there last night.

The official box score differs slightly, unless USM didn't get a shot for over 14 minutes and gave up 5 goals on 9 shots.

Parody has reached academics as well as athletics? I mean, affect vs. effect can be a pain for some people (or they just always use one of them and never the other), but for all intensive purposes, you can tell what they mean at least.

Nice job guys, just a side note...with the camera if they could get rid of the date and all the little pictures on the camera. Not sure if its normally on there as this was the first USM game Ive seen online. You could get some highlight saves from Purdy on some of those. That one save on Fox (?) was just amazing. Any word on Dugdale??
