Elmira's 6-2 win over Morrisville, was expected, however, it can be noted that only 2 of Elmira's goals came 6 x 6, 3 were on the 6 x 5 power-play and one 5 x 5. I note this, not because I doubt the caliber of Elmira, I don't, I have every reason to believe they are, at worse, a top 15 team, and likely a top 10. That said, I believe at last, Morrisville is well on their way to making a DIII statement like they did in the NJCAA, probably not this year, but soon.

US Oil Jim & I arrived just as the 2nd period was starting...caught up with Matt and Andy...great way to cap off a perfect weekend effort from SNC...The boys played awesome defense against a very talented Stout team.
Ryd scored twice Saturday (on his 20th birthday)!!!

Oswego tied Morrisville last year.

Sure is quiet out here on the boards about this game...:D .

To be honest, I think the Falcons were just as stunned. UWS has always been tough to play. This weekend was a different story. The jackets provided some bursts of energy/scoring and there were a few times when us Falcon fans thought, "Oh boy...here we go...they're comin' back." But...it never went farther than that.

Then, the end of the game was PenaltyFest. Looked like UWS just got fed up with it all and gave up on staying out of the box. At that point, it didn't matter in the game scoring (they weren't going to catch up)...but they did lose a player for the next game due to game misconduct.

It's been a long dry spell for the Falcons and it's great to see them having success...but these two games were just too easy. Hmmm.......

Any Jacket fans have insight into this?

river falls has added alot more talent then most people knew. there pretty loaded up with firepower from what i have seen so far and there goaltender is playing well.

brossman a forward d1 transfer from atlaska fairbanks,jason yuel who had 23 goals and like 44 pts for curry 2 years ago along with guys like czuba,calleja, and some others they are looking strong so far. Ncha is gona be a battle this year and should be some great hockey.

Prez,

Any word on the three EC forwards that are out? Looks like Falsetto was added to the roster on the EC site, and Rob Thompson(?) played in last nights game. Never heard of him.

Never heard of Thompson either. He might have been on the JV team and got called up. I don't know. Falsetto had good junior stats when he came in as a freshman but never really got the ball rolling but he's getting his shot now.

I didnt see Sanders or Schrank this weekend but I did see that Day was on the ice for skate with an eagle. I'm not sure if that's a sign towards his return or not. I believe he was out with a wrist injury so he could obviously still do Skate with an Eagle with that type of injury.
