According to collegehockeystats, Brockport beat WNEC 8-3. And according to the stats, it appeared the game was never close except for a brief WNEC comeback attempt.

I'm surprised. With Brockport doing worse this year and WNEC making some great improvements, I kind of figured WNEC could grab one win this weekend.

The Fredonia SID told us the student station was "supposed" to broadcast the game, but he wasn't sure they'd show. I tried the audio feed a few minutes ago and got music, so I'm guessing they didn't show. Bummer.

Sounds like a tight neutral zone game with both team's defenses matching the other's offense to prevent a lot of shots and puck possession dominated by one team. At least that's the way it sounds from the broadcast.

Elmira leads shots 7-5.
