Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

Kirk Herbstriet just said it best. He basically said, that no one is questioning Paterno's football accomplishments, and what he stood for, and what he's done for PSU. This situation is much bigger than that right now, and this action was necessary.

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

That first chant, before the talking head starts speaking makes it real clear. I stand corrected.

And now Dr Phil on CNN? Ok, I'm done.

I was on ESPN, but I got my Stuart Scott quota for the year so I'm done and over to somewhere else.

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

This probably isn't fair for me to do, but at this point, how can you even trust that Tom Bradley (been on the staff for 33 years) didn't know something about this?

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

I took this in late September.

That is a fair question at this point.

@NotJoePa NotJoe Paterno

Those pu$$ie$ on the board of trustees caved in to the people that think protecting the cornholes of pre-teens is more important than wins.

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

Is it in bad taste to wonder how long JoePa has among the living? Please, hear me out:

He's done this for SOOOOO long, it's his life. Period. He is PSU football. Kinda like you hear about long-time married couples, where one dies, and the other follows soon after, because they've been together so long. For famous people, Johnny/June Carter Cash come to mind. Could this be the case for JoePa/PSU football?

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

I don't think it's screwed up, but I'm not sure this is the time. Bear Bryant lasted 28 days after he retired from Alabama.

(kinda upset that espn didn't have mi seon lee on camera too )

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

How much of this comes down to crisis management? After all, Brian Kelly has already survived two deaths while he was at the helm.

Plus think about the tremendous stress this is putting his 80 something body.

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

I still don't believe I'm seeing the words "Paterno Fired" on ESPN. Never thought I'd see that.

Step back and think about this phrase:

"Joe Paterno fired as a result of child sex abuse scandal"

On its face, that phrase is so ****ed up it bends the limits of reality.

This is a crisis we have never seen before. I mean how to handle this? Story changes by the hour...
