Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

Apparently no press credentials were checked before the press conference. Because really, why would you do that?

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

Do PSU students realize that Sandusky's address is in the Grand Jury report and within marching distance?

even if it wasn't, i have a feeling they'll end up there (if he's even at his house)

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

Don't give them any ideas. As much as that would be awesome, that would just make things much, much worse.

There's 30,000+ undergrads on that campus. Don't think for a minute at least one of them hasn't conjured up that thought yet.

You know, given the audible gasp in the room when Paterno's fate was announced, that doesn't surprise me when looking back at this.

I know the college undergrads have their brains addled with malted hops and bong resin, but they are sharp on their feet when it comes to mayhem.

I really hope that the "Riot" idea doesn't make it to Frat Row... As bad a situation as this is now, I can only imagine what alcohol and college stupidity can add to this... At least the people there now are emotionally invested... Add in some idiots with no attachment and you have a recipe for disaster...

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

I just don't even understand outrage from Paterno's staunchest defenders (Old Pio). He wasn't even the football coach anymore. He wasn't any type of coach. He was simply a spectator. A fan. Someone with a cozy seat in a booth collecting wins on his record.

If I'm McQueary I'm not sure I'm in the State of Pennsylvania come Saturday afternoon.

the other morning driving into work i txt my brother (state cop in PA) and asked if mcqueary ate his gun.

i don't know what he can do... young guy and done. how can he work in a coaching capacity (outside of professional with grown men). he let a 10yo kid get assraped to get a job. he passed sandusky in the hallways how many times after that and was ok with it. how can anyone be comfortable sending their 18yo son to play for him? absolutely never ever a high school. thinking of him makes my skin crawl...

That ship has sailed, one way or another. They've either got the idea to riot by now, or they're not going to do it.

The current CNN caller is making sense. Basically telling CNN that CNN is LOOKING for trouble amongst the students, and over-hyping a mass gathering of students who aren't really doing anything but wanting to be on TV/chanting things. :D

A person who calls in actually making sense. (gasp)

Also, I wonder how Temple feels about their game getting dropped off of ESPN thanks to all this. :D

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

Have to wonder what Paterno's affiliation with PSU will be going forward. Does PSU separate themselves from him entirely? If so, have to imagine Paterno will still get some type of grand send off put together by his supporters. Just won't happen on the PSU campus.

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

It's plausible, but I'm 99.9% sure I heard a "kay" sound, along with the first "ess" for Sandusky.

17-18 second mark sounds like Trustees. Immaterial obviously, just saw someone had taken a video.
