Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

????

the majority of people right there are ready to kill the bot! the majority of people in state college are rioting because of this.

The majority of people across the country is what I meant.

rump swabs as reporters... wow.

Yep...that was embarrassing. I can't believe people asking what the justification for this firing is. Umm what??? Wake the eff up people.

Re: The Penn State Scandal, Take Two

Board of trustees made the correct decision. It's still mind boggling how a highly respected academic institution placed sports above human dignity. Outrageous. In addition, Paterno trying to seize power from the University by offering to retire at the end of the season. Paterno clearly doesn't get it.

I'm in the media and my editor was floored at some of the questions. They are like sharks he said.

Also, Millen sounds like he may cry on the air.

He already did earlier this week. Totally understandable if he does.

They acted more like rabid raccoons.

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

Live coverage on campus on CNN.

"F* Sandusky" is being chanted, loud and clear. They are pretending they can't make out the word. "It's 'something' Sandusky, I can't make it out."

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

A MLB player is kidnapped at gunpoint tonight, and it can't even make the bottom line on ESPN. Wow. They are ignoring it for JoePa.

Re: The Penn State Scandal, Take Two

From a football perspective, this is Jim Tressel x1000

Before all of this you think of Paterno going out on his terms and having a grand send off. I'm angry at him and feel bad for him at the same time.

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

Cory Giger dead on Paterno could have shown leadership by stepping down. Could have prevented what is potentially a tragic situation. College kids rioting... has the makings of something really really bad

I don't know, it's plausibly being suggested that they're actually chanting "F the Trustees"

exactly f ing right!! "the board doesn't have to concern themeselves about me now...." one final f u to them.

he forced their hand. how crazy would this have been with him being around campus and the football program for another seven weeks!!!

Pretty much. A legend, a "hero" from a kid's perspective, was destroyed tonight. Growing up, it was JoePa. He ruled.

Those people drive me crazy too. We all know Sandusky is a monster, but those people want you to believe nobody else is to blame.

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

Going back to a sports perspective, this is quite possibly the biggest college sports scandal...ever. With that in mind and how Penn State has no history except for Paterno, how do they recover from this? When most schools have scandals, they still have tradition/history they can go back on.

Think Guy Gadowsky would like to be back at Princeton?

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

With heads rolling and still a lot of innocent fans/students/players involved with PSU, I will now at least be rooting for them on Saturday. Feel terrible for the players.

I completely agree.

This is actually the second largest child abuse scandal after the Vatican in terms of coverage.

I think it's "bigger" because of PSU's formerly flawless rep. If this was Miami, or SMU (remember that one?), the coverage wouldn't be as big.

Re: Sandusky/Penn State scandal

PSU students acting like complete dooshnozzles...

From what I've seen on CNN, I just see them gathering around, chanting things. Now, is CNN avoiding people doing bad things? Dunno. They're not "rioting" from what I've seen.
