Russian Invasion of Ukraine

Jesus. He thinks critically thinking people will buy that Putin decided like 3 months after the US left Afghanistan to invade? The US left in August-ish of 2021, and Russia invaded in February of 2022 (and began amassing troops and equipment on the border some months ahead).

That's... absurd.

With ideologues everything must be bent to the narrative. Remember when Dubya had a surplus so we must cut taxes on the wealthy and then it turned into a deficit so we must cut taxes on the wealthy? The neocons are like that with using the military to make the world safe for the neoliberal world order.

Don’t read it. Ignore the drivel like you ignore Chuck or Whalers or Drew. Just read the Ukraine/Russia updates. It’s better for your BP.

Good god, this is like WW1 numbers.

More than half of Russian soldiers in Ukraine wounded severely enough to require medical examination have sustained injuries that require limb amputations, Deputy Labor Minister Alexei Vovchenko said Tuesday.

For perspective, the US rate in Vietnam among severely wounded was 8%, and in Afghanistan it was 5%.

Re-read the stat: OF the people needing medical attention,50% required amputations. That says nothing at all about what % of people needed medical attention in the first place. Maybe only 2 Russians have been wounded and one of them needed an amputation.

Rioters in Daghestan put the wind up Moscow, as the threat of local tribal-nationalist breakaways from Russia increases, yay!

The rioters scream anti-Semitic slogans and are reacting violently against Western support of Israel, whoops!
