I love how someone gave me a negative rep during the RPI/Cornell game the other night because I made a comment about Fat Mike and the Cornell fans. Oh well guess they cant take a joke.

Sadly, I must spread some reputation around before giving it to fishcore12 again.

Did you know that Mike Schafer once scored 12 goals in a single game, setting the all time record? Even more impressive, he did it last week!

Thanks Ralph. Now I will try to turn the focus back onto this weekend and Brown. If we play the way we did against Cornell and can put some pucks in the back of the net we will be alright. Must avoid taking stupid and untimely penalities and not let Brown hang around.

And avoid letting the ref call 2 late penalties at once to put us down for a full 2 minutes 5 on 3 I am sure that sometimes we get called for penalties simply based on reputation alone.

I agree that 3,000 would be a good showing. The first round of the playoffs is traditionally a tough sell. Wear red, bring a noisemaker and tote along your blow-up doll to prop up in one of the empty seats to improve the atmosphere.

The first round is usually a tough sell because it falls on spring break so the students are not out in force. However, RPI shifted the entire semester forward a week so now the students will be here. Should be a good crowd.

It's their poor record early in the season. As a consequence, we have a mediocre overall record so we don't get votes. Earlier this season, they beat Clarkson (ranked #6), Harvard (#4) twice, and Quinnipiac (#10) over the course of 6 games and didn't get a single vote.

No they didn't, and no they won't. The semester actually got shifted backwards a week or two, but spring break is still falling on the same week (08Mar - 12Mar), so either weekend that we would have been hosting, the lack of students would have been obvious.

Three points from home weekends and two from road weekends gives you how many points? That's right, it's 25. How many points were necessary this season to secure a first round bye? 24.

That is not a question for me. I will be at our games this weekend, but I am not a member of the band.

My hope is that they will be. I expect that they will be at the quarterfinal series at Messa or Starr (if we make it that far), but I am not basing that on inside knowledge, just hope.
