RPI @ Unon 3-9-12 game one

Re: RPI @ Unon 3-9-12 game one

Oh, that's what he said. I stopped paying attention for a minute, and was pretty surprised to hear that!

Re: RPI @ Unon 3-9-12 game one

Sounds like we finally found our legs after the third goal. Now we have to find a way to score.
Period ends, but I think that we have something to build on.

I like the optimism. We are playing better. But Union has that defense that we don't seem to be able to solve. And of course we have not come back to win any game this year when trailing after 2 periods. And we have not won any game in which we gave up more than 2 goals. Have to just play a banging third period and hope it pays dividends-if not tonight, then for tomorrow.

This is the most embarrassing thing I've ever heard. Who the hell loses to Union in the playoffs?!?!

We have had chances (Cullen's breakaway) and other close in chances, but we have not been able to convert. We seem to be playing them even in the last half of the second period, and if we can take the play to them in the third, even if we don't win, we will put some doubt in to Union. Right now, I think that Union believes that RPI can't beat them. We have to change that.

Fully agree-we put some doubt in their minds early with the Tinordi goal-but we even gave that back rather quickly. As has been the case in all 4 games with Union this year-we just seem to fail on special teams

Re: RPI @ Unon 3-9-12 game one

RPI has definitely changed the nature of the game to more hitting, pushing and grinding. It takes time and muscle but they generate a nice chance every so often. This style does not score fast, but it's RPI's game.

If the score were tied right now I'd like their chances.

"a street brawl with discipline"?
