RPI @ Unon 3-9-12 game one

Re: RPI @ Unon 3-9-12 game one

Sounded like absolute **** out there. We've regressed to our old ways.

I disagree. I thought the same thing for the first period, which was pretty bad, but we seemed to have found some of our recent spark again in the second, and it was definitely back in the third. Bailen seemed to be missing out there a bit, as our WRPI announcers just pointed out. Now that we've had a chance to get re-acquainted with Union, I hope we remember that third period and keep building.

We still played like **** and you just confirmed it. The game is sixty minutes. Not 20, not 30, not 40, SIXTY!

Partially true-we did play like **** on the 2 power plays and also in allowing the man who just came out of the box (when his penalty was over) to come in all alone with the puck and score. But mostly 5 on 5 we did not look horrible and what just stands out is that these boys just never quit. It would have been very easy to concede this one or take stupid penalties in the third down 2 goals. They made a game out of it and had a couple of chances last night that could have been a third goal for us. Union has shown all season they are the better team and they deserve to be 9 places above us in the league standings. Last night, that difference was far less obvious. With a couple of lucky bounces, or one missed save on Cullen's break in, we could still be in OT now.
