RPI @ Union (NC, 10/30), Army @ RPI (10/31)

Re: RPI @ Union (NC, 10/30), Army @ RPI (10/31)

I do realize that Union also uses the trap, or at least they did in the past. IMHO, however, they haven't been as succcessful with it.

Agree. I was also in reference to the fact that today's October 30, the day before Halloween, which is often known as "Devil's Night." Given the, ahem, rough and tumble nature of the city of Schenectady, I may indeed pack heat tonight if I go.

RC--even given the history, he still welcomes all with open arms. He might even buy you an orange soda. UHM is a good sport :)

That depends on if I decide to come out to New Kabul tonight or not. Still throwing around the possibility of drinking battery acid instead.

Hey guys,

RPI TV will be covering this weekend's game vs. Army live on campus cable and B2 networks. Since we're broadcasting on campus cable, I rigged up my TV's capture card to broadcast the game on Ustream here:

http://www.ustream.tv/channel/rpi-tv-channel-6-stream---live-football-and-hockey

Note that due to contract bull**** with B2, the above stream is "unofficial" and not actually provided by RPI TV. Next year, we anticipate being free of B2, which will allow us to stream all home games for free for students and alums and at a small price for the general populace. Under our current terms with B2, RPI TV sees absolutely no financial return from providing them with our stream. RPI TV is a student-run, union-funded, volunteer based video and television club at RPI.

Here's some highlights of what you can expect from RPI TV:
  • Five camera angles, including an overhead faceoff camera and two ice level cameras
  • Live scoreboard with penalty and scoring information
  • Audio provided by WRPI (with increased crowd ambiance)
  • Player titles with basic information and statistics
  • Instant Replays (still a work in progress)

As always, RPI TV maintains a back catalog of hockey games which can be viewed on our website for free here: http://www.rpitv.org/productions/sports

We're always looking for ways to improve our productions, so feedback is appreciated via email at sports@rpitv.org, or contact me directly at hamilr2@rpi.edu.

We'll also be covering both of next weekend's games against Yale (Black Friday) and Brown, so make sure you check out my Ustream next weekend as well.

A number of us will be at the Union game tonight (section 6) if you'd like to say hello.

Heck yes.

Could you stream the Playboy channel too? That would be awesome.

beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer. and lots of it. seriosuly though, i do appreciate it that rpi is not rubbing it in. you won. good work. we lost. bad work.

This one could have gone either way-and neither team could have complained. Almost even on shots, even on penalties, a well played game on both parts. If these teams play 3 more times this year they should all be like this.

thank you rpi for not urbbing it in our face.

Not how we roll. It was a 'nuff said situation.

Although I will say this - what the hell was the trike race to? Far blue line? You seemed to stand up in the middle of the neutral zone. I think you cheated or something. But congrats on the $25 gift certificate or the diploma or whatever the prize was.

Beer's for DURING the game! :) After the game...... well, you're right, more beer.

A game's a game. Whining and gloating are only for if you're Cornell. We'll see what happens during football, and also later in the season. Sounds like a good one; hopefully I can find an archive of the game, as I didn't get a chance to hear it.

Trabucco's goal was pretty.

Brutlag's was prettier to my biased eyes.
