..which is exactly one more vote than RPI gotNice to see that Union got one vote in the uscho rankings survey.
..which is exactly one more vote than RPI got(sorry I couldn't resist)
Only get nervous when you see a Game DQ. Those are called so rarely these days that I'd hate to see what it takes to actually be given one.
Then again, seeing what it takes might make for a long lasting memory.
As for the game Friday, at least Dan Peace isn't around to be given a phantom fighting major.![]()
Called so rarely if you school name does not have I, P, ad R in it, not necessarily in that order. Same with penalty shots.
I remember that fighting major, I think it's the only time in my memory the band was actually asked to play Three Blind Mice. Even though that was our trial game for four refs.
Mike Baker has proven to be a terrible official in every game I've seen him in and he seems to get the call often for RPI-Union games. In other words, I fully expect to see his special brand of Haterade out there on Friday.
Didn't he do game 2 of the Cornell series with Murphy?
No, that was Kotyra and Murphy.
No, that was Kotyra and Murphy.
If Ken Schott gets a vote in that pole....Lets make that 0 votesKeeping track of things Union fans are crowing about in this thread, we have a list that includes:
1) Barely earning one point against St. Cloud.
2) Having one person out of 40 choosing Union as the 20th best team in the country.
Surprised nothing so far about sweeping the almighty Maine.
Usually known as Dumb and Dumber.
Where have you gone, Scott Hansen? A nation turns its lonely eyes to you.
ABSOLUTELY Not. That guy cost us a first-round bye in the 05-06 season. Instead, we had to make sure only one team had not won an ECAC playoff series (at the time).
Yeah, if you wanted to nitpick, you could find one or two things to harp on with every referee. That makes you a Got 6. You don't want to be a Got 6. When they say "don't be that guy," they're talking about Got 6.
I go back before your time, son. Trust me, we miss Hansen.
And I don't know what the smeg you're talking about with that last sentence. Or the first one, the Engineers finished 5 points out of a first-round bye in 05-06, which is more than you can blame on a referee.
That is until Union puts the first one in their own net.
If Ken Schott gets a vote in that pole....Lets make that 0 votes
Of course some thoughts also included the reason for your faux article on another thread.
Let's hope that Union continues their recent domination of RPI. If I'm not mistaken, we've one the last five meetings (I'm including the 1-1 game in the Governor's Cup where we won in a shootout to move on in the tournament). Should be a battle though.
I see this as another four point weekend, with a close game Friday and an easier time on Saturday night. JMO
