RPI @ Union (NC, 10/30), Army @ RPI (10/31)

Re: RPI @ Union (NC, 10/30), Army @ RPI (10/31)

Not how we roll. It was a 'nuff said situation.

Although I will say this - what the hell was the trike race to? Far blue line? You seemed to stand up in the middle of the neutral zone. I think you cheated or something. But congrats on the $25 gift certificate or the diploma or whatever the prize was.

Trike race was to center ice and yes, I think I did start a little early. I won a two night stay at in Lake Placid with four free lift tickets to Whiteface Mountain. I'll take it but I would have preferred a win in the real game.

For a ****ing trike race? And one that didn't include weaving in and out of cones or having to go up and back, thereby presenting an actual challenge?

Well, at least we know why Union's tuition is as obscene as it is. Congrats anyway.

I might have to go to more Union games and try to find a way to steal prizes.

In case anyone's still out there, I was wondering what the thoughts are about last night's goal play? IMO I didn't think that either goalie was particularly good or bad, maybe the quality of shots was a bit lacking. I thought York looked generally OK but failed to control a few rebounds. Milan didn't seem to have a particularly brilliant effort but I don't think he stood much of a chance on the OT winner.

I don't remember a whole lot that stood out about either EXCEPT that York spent a lot of time chasing (and failing to control) pucks behind the net. If you're not gonna get the puck and do something with it, don't bother leaving the crease and wandering around behind the goal line. A couple times it led to near opportunities for Union as he was out of position trying to get back in the crease.

RPI TV is a student-run, union-funded, volunteer based video and television club at RPI.

"Union-funded" :confused:
This really steams me. We can't get a free stream for our own games, but we can pay for RPI's entire video club...sheeeesh!
Paid vacations to students, sponsoring a club at RPI, what's next...campaign contributions for Paterson? ;)

Seriously, congrats to RPI (did I just say that?). It looks as if there will be some fun games in the Capitol district this season.

Well, technically the quote was "union-funded" in lower case =).

RPI TV has been thinking about making a road trip to Union sometime later this season (or maybe next season) to broadcast a game, though Messa Rink seems poorly set up for cameras. If we're there, we'll be covering the game for free.
