There is usually some grain of truth to rumors, although most are very exaggerated. I was just reporting on what I read, and I did put a smilie on it.

I suspect that JL will play in Cornwall's game today, assuming that he wasn't hurt. It's too bad that the Standard Freeholder doesn't appear to publish on Sundays, sot there is no game report up.

Actually tabloids are alive and well in your neck of the woods, not so much "up there".

You might do well to give the allegation of Laliberté departing for a sunny and warm holiday (while his team is competing for 1st place and his teammates wanting to show well in front of NCAA recruiters) time to get substantiated.

I hope you are right and the rumour is false.

Did you mean to say gist instead of just?

I understood the gist of your post - implying that Laliberté bailing on his teammates was not true. I am suggesting you wait before dismissing it as a "false hockey rumour" because it is possible it is true.
