His former coach, Grads bench boss Paul Flindall, is a big Ouellette backer.
"Could he play D1? Absolutely, he has amazing skill,'' Flindall said. "I'm not sure what the knock on him has been..."
I have never seen him play but he is small like JL, and my guess is he doesn't have JL's speed. It does surprise me that he doesn't seem to have even got any interest from an AHA team yet.

He's listed at 5'9" 175 - same as JL. I do agree its a bit odd that someone hasn't taken a run at him..he can play a bit.

We tried that with Senez, didn't we?

Senez was moved up front at least once-I recall a home game against SLU and it disrupted their defense for the first half of the game while we piled up an insurmountable lead. But Ralph you are correct-Senez was in the doghouse so much the experiment was not repeated agin to my knowledge.
