Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

It could also be possible that Fargo was just a pitstop on his way up to Canada to check some kids out from Manitoba. Maybe a D man from the Winnipeg South Blues... Just a thought.:)

25 Peter Stoykewych 6'3" 195 07/14/1992, listed as Heisenberg's top SJ/MJ recruit, ahead of a forward on his team who's committed to NoDak for 2010 (who will also be a young 18 year-old freshman).

No clue what the basis for this tip is, but I like it!

42-4-21-25-55, second on his team in defenseman scoring and appears to be on the top powerplay unit.

Don't tease us RH, spill your intel. :D

I'm buying it. I would think that if one was going to Winnipeg from the Albany Airport, one wouldn't go through Fargo, but I guess it is an easy drive if the snow isn't too deep. :D

I didn't mean Seth's travel route...I have no doubt that Seth made several stops while out on the high plains. I was referring to the refernce to another "mystery" defenseman. :D

Weaver's piece about the shinny mentioned only Appert and Broad attended. Hopefully Monty and Vines are burning some rubber looking for Doc's '11 big boys. :p

Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

I had the same thought, and I agree.

What are the odds Monty stops in to Cornwall tonight? My guess is pretty good, especially if we're trying to close the deal with Ming...tell JL Seth still loves him, check how his English is coming, etc.

Yes Ralph, I know this assumes Monty is actually in eastern Canada. :p We've got to keep this thread going somehow...

PS: I can't make Cornwall tonight thanks to some work tasks tomorrow. MacInnis may thank me, given the last time I attended was ugly for the Colts.

Keep this thread going? It wasn't too long ago that I had about 40 straight score posts. :)

It wouldn't surprise me if Monty was in Cornwall for the reasons you posted. I'm sure that you will recognize him if you are there also. :)

I actually ran into Monty during a OJAHL showcase in Oakville back in September. He does makes his rounds.
I wonder how often the coaches keep in touch with the players they already recruited, is there a limit how many times they can visit or make phone contact with a player whom they have a verbal agreement from?
