Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2014-15 Part II

An article about Tri-Cities loss yesterday. http://www.kearneyhub.com/sports/lo...cle_33c8f2b6-f092-11e4-8818-07889928a3fd.html Most of it is about Alec Dillon.

Dillon was not the reason Tri-City fell 4-3 Friday night at the Denny Sanford Premier Center. He was the reason Tri-City was alive when it mustered just two shots on net in the first 25 minutes.

“I’m frustrated for him. I feel bad for him because without him in the early half of the game, we’re not in the game,” Storm coach Jim Hulton said. “He was spectacular. Stuff happens. It’s an unfortunate way to lose a game but our season didn’t end tonight.”

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2014-15 Part II

....from reading some of the Posts on the "finish your check” site Dillon was the main reason TC was in the game.

I didn't look at FYC until I read your post, but it is the same thing as my quote in post #728.

I know that you know, but the USHL is having their futures draft on Monday evening. It's for players born in 1999, so it won't apply to any known RPI recruits. The phase 2 draft is on Tuesday, but Cho and Hayhurst are already taken, so I don't really expect anyone to be taken there either, but who can be sure? Someone could take a flyer on Babichuk or Burgess or anyone else who isn't going to Troy next season, e.g., Manley could get another shot.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2014-15 Part II

On Saturday, the Tri-City Storm lost the Sioux Falls Stampede 7-3. They lost their best-of-five playoff series 3-1 This ends their season. Alec Dillon was the backup. http://ushlstats.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2662055

Dillon's playoff line is now 6-4-2-0-2.17-.923.
His total is 47-27-17-0-2.26-.915.

Assuming that AD wasn't injured, it seems like it was a poor decision to play Rutledge for the first time in the playoffs except for 10 seconds.
