Perfect timing. I just put the TP game on live & Hayhurst scores to tie it at 1 with about 2 1/2 min. left in reg.

Edit: Wait. I will stick around, in past years OTs were unlimited. Apparently it is only 10 minutes now.

On Wednesday, the Toronto Patriots defeated the Dryden GM Ice Dogs (SIJHL) 6-0. Their record in the round-robin portion of the Dudley-Hewitt Cup is 1-1. Jacob Hayhurst had a goal and two assists (2 PPAs). http://dhewitt.stats.pointstreak.com//boxscore.html?gameid=2652943

Hayhurst's Dudley-Hewitt Cup line is now 2-2-2-4-0.
His total is 74-35-50-85-28.

”Mucks” must be the new word now. It was also used to describe his goal last night I believe....... Yes, it was.... TIED GAME! Just under 3 to go here and fort Frances and Jacob Hayhurst (@Hayhurst12) mucks in the rebound!

I tend to doubt that at his size JH will be able to do much of that in college.

On Wednesday, the Tri-City Storm lost to the Sioux Falls Stampede 3-2. Their best-of-five playoff series is tied 1-1. Alec Dillon saved 22 of 25 shots in 59:30. http://ushlstats.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2664638

Highlights from the Patriots' game 2 https://vimeo.com/126458869. They don't actually begin until 7:40. The play leading to JH's goal begins at about 8:20. At the end there is part of the interview posted earlier plus an additional short interview with JH at about 9:47.

If the Pats win today they earn the bye. They are guaranteed to finish at least third and therefore will at least be in the 2-3 game on Friday.

As I said, they need that to get they bye. Since they have four points (3 for a win, 1 for an OT loss) Dryden can't catch them. So they are at least guaranteed of paying in the 2-3 game.

On Thursday, the Toronto Patriots defeated the Soo Thunderbirds (NOJHL) 4-3 (1-0) in a shootout after a 10-minute overtime. They finish the round-robin portion of the Dudley-Hewitt Cup with a record of 2-1 (6 points; 1 regulation win, 1 OT win, 1 OT loss). They finish second and play in the 2-3 game tomorrow. Soo had 7 points (2 regulation wins, 1 OT loss). Ft. Frances, if they win tonight in regulation, will have 5 points (1 regulation win and 1 OT win). I should add that if Dryden defeats Ft. Frances in regulation they will be Toronto's opponent. If Ft. Franves wins or losses in overtime or a shootout, they are the opponent.
