Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2012-13

As I write this, Riley Bourbonnais is tied for third in scoring in the USHL.
I liked what I saw from the kid when I saw him vs. Alb. Academy. He's a bit of wide body, I think he's inthe 5'10" 190 range now...reminds me of Eric Healey.... Good size, low center of gravity and not afraid to go to the net. Looking forward to seeing him in Troy !

I noticed over the weekend that soph. forward Mitch Zion has left Clarkson and returned to play for Cornwall...plans to transfer. Not specifically RPI related (that we know of - sorry RB :D) but interesting in that he was recruited by the ECAC/Ivies coming out of Cornwall.

I thought about that possibility when I saw it on the Clarkson Roundtable. My thought was that we don't want players who couldn't make it at Clarkson. :)

Despite the fact that no games have been played since this morning, he is now 2 points out of the lead in a tie for second. I am beginning to wonder if someone has hacked the USHL database, as I don't make that many errors.

Edit: I still had the window open from this morning where I verified that Bourbonnais was tied for the lead. At that time he indeed had 3 goals and 8 assists, not the 4 and 7 he has now. i think that it is time to check all the rest of our recruits to see if anything else has changed.

This appears to be accurate at least for a minute. :) The heights and weights have been updated from the league sites. Most are shorter and lighter.

We seem a bit short on D. Granted, we're only graduating one (Bailen) and currently have 8, but we all remember what happened when we tried to go with 7.

I assume that we will get one. We got Bokenfohr and Hampton quite late last year.

Edit 2/22/12 and 5/29/12, respectively.

maybe the same tabulators are being used for the uscho stats, i.e. D-1 scoring leaders. They still have Neal & Laliberte as only playing 3 games. I've sent 2 emails since Sun. night.....obviously still no change.

As FD pointed out (and you have also probably noted), the Friday box is missing.
