Generals won their game but I'm not sure of the score. CF hasn't hit the scoreboard in either game..... didn't realize it but U recruit, Joe Young is the Gen's goalie. Another ECAC recruit is on the Gen's, Anthony Angelo (Cornell)....http://www.proamhockey.com/stats/st...ers&team_id=1733&season_id=69&tournament_id=0

Gen's played a Team from Rochester and won 13-2.....and nothing from CF.... http://www.proamhockey.com/stats/official-game-report.php?game_id=3758

Perhaps a replacement for Johnny Rogic? I know Rogic lit the lamp quite a bit in juniors, but we've seen him as an energy player, really gritty on the PK, digging out of corners, and the like. Does CF play bigger than his current size? Perhaps he's a bit of a speed demon out there?

From what I saw of Carlos in Cedar Rapids camp, he plays a bit more of a perimeter game and utilizes his speed well. He had one grade A chance in camp on a 2-1 and missed a wide open net. Good kid with a good family. I talked to Carlos Sr. quite a bit during camp and it seems JR has his head on straight. IMO if he were to make CR, he would be a 3rd to 4th liner and PK guy.

Thanks Scott. As you have seen we tend to (over) analyze our recruits years before they arrive in Troy. :)

No problem. I believe the 30 man roster is due back in Cedar Rapids this coming weekend for a "conditioning" evaluation. Sometimes Mark Carlson juggles the roster a little bit at this camp....adding FA's who didnt make the roster of other teams. He usually takes 30 into the preseason roster, but I dont know if he will do that with CR heading east to play some games in the NY/NJ. I would be willing to bet he only takes 25 -26 out there with them.

I suspect that Fornaris, like Kennedy et al., is probably going to receive minority group funding and thus will at most cost a small part of a scholarship. Thus whatever we get from him is a plus. Then again, perhaps he just has a jinx re the Chowder Cup.

We also overanalyze our current players (and in some cases alums). ;)
