I wonder if there is any thought being given to bringing in ET for 2013. I usually like the idea of letting our recruits develop in juniors as log as possible, but the circumstances might be perfect enough for an exception here. Our freshman and sophomore group of forwards is outstanding. It might make sense to have ET here for two years with the sophs rather than having him trying to break into the lineup when they're seniors.

Then again, with Melanson, Wood, and Bourbannais coming in, its going be a huge scrap for any ice time anyways.

don't forget Devito coming also. That's 4 incoming forwards to replace 3 outgoing. ET's still only 17 (18 in Aug.). Another year in the B looks to be right. Aside from ET, is it possible Melanson stays in the U next year, ala Bourbonnais this year?

Melanson has signed the NLI. He must go to RPI next year.

Have to think competition is going to be extremely fierce for ice time next year among the forwards, and that's a good thing. Have to think next year you're going to have five juniors who will see the ice with regularity when they're healthy, plus Higgs, Zalewski, Miller, and Bubela. That leaves three slots for the freshmen and other seniors (which includes a pair of solid guys in Tinordi and Rogic who are going to be dressed far more often than they aren't, I'd think) and two other sophomores on any given night.

It's going to be a deep pool and there are going to be talented guys sitting in the stands every night. That's usually a good problem to have.

Certainly possible. He is still listed by CH as either year. Only the fact that he signed a LoI makes me fairly sure he is coming in the fall.

Agreed. Really the main problem about adding Tironese would be that we probably don't have scholarship money.

Could not agree more-you could dive into that pool for next year. The hardest job may well be just finding the combinations that work best together.

Edina's (Parker Reno) last regular season game is being webcast at http://psbmn.com/ at 3 PM CST (4PM EST).

Make that 20 minutes later since an earlier game went long. That's just about now.

Reno is #5 in white.
