RPI Pros VI

Re: RPI Pros VI

I personally would prefer the Devils, but I would still watch him he were on the Rangers.

I have the 4 teams around here with the worst choice for me being the Flyers followed by the Islanders. Devils would be an OK second choice. Part of it because I have been a Ranger fan since the early 50's but also included is my television coverage. I get every Ranger game on at least 2 channels and besides it is nice to hear Sam Rosen say "It's a power play goal!!!

Re: RPI Pros VI

Looks like a lot of people have trouble getting themselves motivated to go to the TUC to see the Devils. The game summary lists the attendance as a whopping 1,723.

Albany has a pretty good team this year, too.

Adam Oates is ranked as the number 7 passer in the NHL.

Re: RPI Pros VI

Brandon Pirri will return to the Panthers lineup Thursday after being a healthy scratch the past four games...... http://miamiherald.typepad.com/flapanthers/
and BP gets the Panthers 1st goal tonight!.........add an assist to BP’s line now. Have to say, this is the most physical game I’ve seen him play. he’s really taking hold of his opportunity tonight..........Well deserved, #2 Star of Game.

He has always shown a wee bit of a temper on the ice. We sure could use some of that when he gets here to NY with the Rangers.;) Seriously have a little concern though. When you get to the NHL level, with a few exceptions, if you play that physical game, and are not 6'2" and 215+, you risk a lot of injury time.

Re: RPI Pros VI

Pirri's injury was mentioned on last night's Pittsburgh telecast of the Penguins-Panthers game, complete with a replay of the incident.

The announcers couldn't say anything more about the prospects of Pirri's return than what the Panthers told them, which was "a few weeks," as quoted in the previous post.

They did say that Gallant was very upset that the NHL took no disciplinary action against the player who caused Pirri to go flying into the boards.
