Re: RPI Pros V

An article in today's Harrisburg Patriot-News contains a brief section about Oates' return to Glens Falls, where he spent the 1985-86 season as a member of the Adirondack Red Wings.

Sounds like, even for a future Hall of Famer coming from an NCAA championship team, the transition from college hockey to the pros wasn't a walk in the park.
Oates goes back to DC, won't be with Hershey after last night's game with WBS...http://dumpnchase.com/?p=1883

Allen York recalled to Springfield....http://theahl.com/stats/transactions.php
not to wish an injury to a player but I hope the Springfield backup might be, prompting Yorkie's recall. Curtis McElhinney is having a career year so far so I wouldn't expect much PT there. It did appear since he came off the IR that he was getting the #1 minutes with Evansville. With John Davidson running things now in Columbus I'ld hope that they would have a better plan than the ping-pong game they played with Yorkie last year.

Re: RPI Pros V

this must be something new from the ECAC site....featured game tomorrow will be Brown vs RPI from HFH 1997-98 season http://www.ecachockey.com/men/2012-13/News/201212_Brown_vs_RPI_Playback
clik on video to watch....I thought it would be the complete game but it's just the goals although there are several angles of each goal with commentary from the NESN PxP guys. Who are all those people at each end of the ice ;) http://www.ecachockey.com/men/index

Brad Trapper???????

Yup as a young forward. Great to see all those names-Tapper, Healey, Gardiner, Garver. We had some offense that year but even 14 years ago, with all those guys, we still were having power play problems. They were fun to watch though.

Remember that weekend well. We had beaten Harvard the night before and I had figured the Brown game would have been easier. It was freezing cold (what else is new in Troy) in January and we kept warm in section 6 with coffee and Irish Whiskey.
