Re: RPI Pros V

He tipped a goal according to the USCHO game thread (not that thread which was the post-game thread).
Yes, he was in front of his net and tried blocking a shot with his stick...deflecting it into his own net. I've seen Girardi and Stall do this countless times for the Rangers and get the BIG "Skunk Eye" from Lundquist. If you can't block it with your body for goodness sakes don't stick your stick out! BTW, a bit later Andrew Shaw (Blackhawks) almost did the same thing but it barely went wide of the net.

Well, he's certainly scoring. He's only at 43% on faceoffs, which certainly could use improvement.
He had been doing much better his previous games on the FO's. It's very common for young players in the NHL to perform badly on the FO's. Crosby was the worst early in his career....now he's considered one of the best. Experience is huge on the draw. BP finished the game with 1g and 1a and was named #2 Star.....http://blackhawks.nhl.com/gamecenter/en/boxscore?id=2013020306

Oh yeah, I'm not knocking him. I'm just saying he's got a ways to go before he's a lock for their second line center.

Re: RPI Pros V

I have a feeling BP might soon be sent back to Rockford. Since Michael Handzus has returned from the IR BP's ice time has really took a dive (6:32 tonight). He's no longer on the 2nd PP. He's centering the 3rd line for Versteeg & Shaw with Shaw (natural C) taking the majority of FO's.When Bryan Bickel returns from the IR I think a ticket back to the A will be waiting for Brandon. Of course, a nice little scoring run again could change that or he stays with the club when Bickel comes back as an extra forward which they're currently not doing.
