Re: RPI Pros IV

from Julie Robenhymer Chase Polachek - St Louis - Seth Appert, head coach at RPI, wanted to change the culture at RPI. "He came from Denver where they won two national championships and we just needed to buy into what he was selling. Good thing was that it was easy to buy into his plan and even easier once we started to see results from it and now with the new facilities it's only going to get better as we're able to attract better recruits." He's looking to take everything Appert taught him and apply it to his first professional experience this week. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/Julie-Robenhymer/Traverse-City-Prospect-Camp---Day-One/99/38018

The best part of this quote, is that Chase still thinks of himself as an Engineer. "we're able to attract better recruits".
If Appert can instill that attitude in his players, it will create a tradition that will last forever.

I missed that the first time through-very perceptive.

Re: RPI Pros IV

St. Louis should be playing Columbus for 3rd place in the Traverse City Tourn. Wednesday. Chase hasn't played the last 2 games (injured?). Yorkie played in Columbus' 1st game followed by their other 2 goalies in the next 2 games so maybe Yorkie gets the call in this game.

I watched the game on Saturday, and if Chase was injured it wasn't obvious. He's listed on the score sheet as having 2 SOG, though I thought I saw three. He got a lot more ice time than when he first joined the team in April, but he was on their fourth line, and it seemed as if he still was having a bit of trouble adjusting to wing. I think they just don't realize his potential. Hopefully he gets put in today! He is listed on the Blues training camp roster though.

And we go to overtime, tied 3-3. York has 15 saves, the Blues being outshot 36-18.

Edit: Those were the shot totals through the first two periods, they're having trouble with the technology.

According to the unofficial score on the Blues' website, York had 28 saves on 32 shots. Polacek only played the first game of the tournament. As the Blues training camp starts tomorrow and they still have a few spots to fill, all the players invited to camp are currently on the roster, including Chase.
