RPI Pick-To-Click 2019-2020

Re: RPI Pick-To-Click 2019-2020

Friday:
RPI: Owen Savory
Colgate: Colton Young

Saturday:
RPI: Cory Babichuk
Cornell: Tristan Mullin

Babichuk is definitely injured. He went to the locker room and did not return after the first period. Change my pick to Todd Burgess

Re: RPI Pick-To-Click 2019-2020

Another split on the weekend and another tie for the bonus point, so congratulations to sezenack and Ralph Baer on their shared tie. Further, this point pushes the former into a tie with your glorious host for first overall.

As happens so often, multiple RPI players tied for the MVP spot, but for a change of pace, this time the players all had 3 PtC points. Defensemen Simon Kjellberg and Brady Ferner each scored a goal, but neither them nor Ture Linden and his three assists were selected. Great job for us. Across the ice, the lone Raider goal was scored by Jared Cockrell (RPI fan 4 life). Good for him.
Saturday didn't end up quite as successful as the previous evening, but yet another player reached the 3-point PtC MVP threshold, as Todd Burgess (lugnut92, sezenack, engineerhockeyfan) contributed to both RPI goals, assisting on the first and scoring the second. All sorts of ineligible Cornell skaters did things, but your best choice as a participant in this game was Alex Green (Ralph Baer).

Re: RPI Pick-To-Click 2019-2020

Congrats to RPI fan 4 life for their weekly win in this final regular season home weekend of the year! Also, sez and I remain neck-and-neck for the top spot.

A huge win on Friday night, and the king of the day was Owen Savory (no one, wrong night Mav :() with his fourth shutout of the season. Obviously that puts him above all, but we should also be proud of goal scorers Tristan Ashbrook (lugnut92, engineerhockeyfan) and Jake Marrello (no one). One other guy scored, but you probably wanted to hold off on him. Oh yeah, Quinnipiac's goalie got a quality start (but also got pulled after the ENG) and we're so proud of him.
Saturday night featured another great performance from Savory with the quality start, but Todd Burgess (RPI fan 4 life) made it so we essentially could have put a shooter tutor out there and still won with his massive FOUR GOAL game. He was picked, and man did he click. Also a guy named Liam scored, but not the one a couple of you chose.

And so we've come to the end of the regular season, and RPI will have the most important game of their season Friday night at Harvard, followed by a slightly less impactful but still crucial return trip to Dartmouth, who can't be happy about that drubbing pre-Freakout!

Picks must be in by 7:30 ET on Friday, February 28.

You may NOT choose the following player(s) for this weekend:
RPI: Chase Zieky, Todd Burgess, and Will Reilly
Harvard: Nick Abruzzese, Casey Dornbach, and Jack Rathbone
Dartmouth: Drew O'Connor, Quin Foreman, and Tanner Palocsik

I am changing this. My first ever goalie.

R Gornall
H Drury

S
R <s>Kjellberg</s> Savory
D Graber

If he has a bad game, you know whom to blame. :)

Is it possible that the games will go a certain way on Friday that we will be locked in to a position and he doesn't play?

Only way we are locked into a spot in the standings is if RPI, Yale and Dartmouth all lose on Friday. RPI would be locked into 5th in that scenario, which is unlikely at best
