RPI Pick-To-Click 2019-2020

Re: RPI Pick-To-Click 2019-2020

I'm baaaaack! Congratulations to ME on the weekly win, which propelled me back into first overall!

RPI scored a ton of goals in Friday's beatdown of Dartmouth, but because our attack was so balanced, no one scored more than one goal or two points. As such, Cory Babichuk (Ralph Baer) ended up as the most valuable PtC player with his goal and assist. For the green fellows, only Matt Baker (Ralph Baer) got onto the eligible PtC scoresheet with his assist on the lone Dartmouth goal.
Saturday was a much lower scoring affair, with both teams being led by their goaltenders. Owen Savory (lugnut92) was of course the MVP with his 38-save shutout, but UVM tender Tyler Harmon (no one) made a valiant effort in the loss.

Time for a very weird non-conference trip to Kalamazoo in February. RPI will try and take at least one win off their lone NCHC opponent of the season.

Picks must be in by 7:00 ET on Friday, February 7.

You may NOT choose the following player(s) for this weekend:
RPI: Chase Zieky, Mike Gornall, and Will Reilly
Western Michigan: Hugh McGing, Paul Washe, and Michael Joyaux

From Kalamazoo to Timbuctoo
It's a long way down the track
And from Timbuctoo to Kalamazoo
It's just as far to go back.

I do not know if that book is still being read to very young children. Probably not.

Re: RPI Pick-To-Click 2019-2020

Weird week. Five of us tied with five points to take the win and earn the bonus. I assume that's unprecedented.

So many goals this weekend, and yet no one picked RPI's two goal scorer Tristan Ashbrook (on Friday night ). WMU was led by the ineligible Hugh McGing and was trailed by three teammates who each scored 4 PtC points, including Dawson DiPietro (MavHockey14) who put up a goal and two assists.
Saturday was yet another game in which four RPI skaters tied with 2 PtC points, but the only one we picked was Cory Babichuk (sezenack, RPI fan 4 life, Ralph Baer). Across the ice, the Broncos were led by a monster night from defenseman Cam Lee (no one), who netted two and added an assist.

It's all ECAC all the time from here through the end of the regular season, and RPI will kick off their stretch run with a trip to Central NY to take on Colgate and Cornell. Last week wasn't amazing, but it technically doesn't break our streak of .500-or-better ECAC weekends, so we'll want to keep that going if we want to shore up our position in 5th or 6th in the league.

Picks must be in by 7:00 ET on Friday, February 14.

You may NOT choose the following player(s) for this weekend:
RPI: Chase Zieky, Mike Gornall, and Will Reilly
Colgate: Bobby McMann, Ben Sharf, and Nick Austin
Cornell: Morgan Barron, Brenden Locke, and Yanni Kaldis
