RPI Pick-To-Click 2019-2020

Re: RPI Pick-To-Click 2019-2020

It looks like Sezenack is now in the lead.

Indeed he is, and he took his eighth(!) weekly win too, so I guess that makes sezenack the regular season Pick-to-Click champ? That's not really how this contest works. Good for him though.

We can thank our stellar goaltender Owen Savory (wrooooong daaaaay) for the win on Friday night, as he put up his fifth shutout of the season to be the night's obvious MVP. If you wanted to pick a skater, game-winning goal scorer Cory Babichuk (nope) would have been your man, though he was a better choice on Saturday. Harvard's goalie also played well.
Speaking of Saturday, RPI clinched a bye with the help of Cory Babichuk's (nada) assists on the first two goals, which would have been all the Engineers needed to salt this one away. Savory (Ralph Baer, engineerhockeyfan) did well again, but he was obviously more useful on Friday. Dartmouth's lone goal was scored by an ineligible, and we didn't pick either of the helpers so who cares.

Well... We don't know who we're playing next, so I'm not going to make the weekly kickoff post yet. It's obviously very likely to be Harvard, but let's just wait and make sure before making any posts to that effect. Regardless of our next opponent, the next RPI game will be Friday, March 13th at 7 PM, so come back here between next Monday and then to make your picks for the next round.

Well, we were pretty sure it would be Harvard, and we were right. RPI will play their first quarterfinal series in four years against the team they knocked off to earn the bye. Let's do this and go to Lake Placid.

Picks must be in by 7:00 ET on Friday, March 13. Remember to make three picks! Also, remember the position restrictions are no more, so pick all the forwards your heart desires.

You may NOT choose the following player(s) for this weekend:
RPI: Chase Zieky, Ture Linden, and Will Reilly
Harvard: Nick Abruzzese, Jack Drury, and Jack Rathbone

Well I guess it's good that no one has made picks yet. I'll put up a new weekly kickoff post when we know what's actually happening.

Let's try this again. Assuming nothing changes, RPI will host Colgate for their quarterfinal series this weekend. Will the games actually happen? Who knows. Just make some picks.

Oh man I never made that wrap-up post did I. I hope you'll forgive me after what has transpired over the last 19 months. Of course sezenack is the reigning champion, I collected my fourth silver medal, and ehf holds the wooden spoon (among those who made picks regularly). Look for this season's kick-off post shortly.
