RPI Pick-to-Click 2018-19

Re: RPI Pick-to-Click 2018-19

Of course, now that Cornell supposedly sucks, that means we're going to get blown out, and I'm going to blame you... :p

RPI: Kyle Hallbauer
Cornell: Matthew Galajda (let's see if he plays this time)

RPI: Owen Savory (For turnabout, you can blame me if we lose this one on account of the pick ;))
Colgate: Trevor Cosgrove

Re: RPI Pick-to-Click 2018-19

I blame turk181 for the fact that I didn't get here quickly enough to change my Princeton pick on Friday. :D When I got the lineup charts a few minutes before 7 PM https://board.uscho.com/showthread....RPI-02-14-19&p=6763430&viewfull=1#post6763430, I said to myself "whom did I pick?", so I started to look for this thread, but before I got here I noticed that turk181 had posted on the Recruit thread, so I went there first..

How do you think I feel? I made my pick at like quarter of and still screwed it up.

Not really a curse, vizoroo, so much as superstition. When this contest started back in the 12-13 season, we were doing terribly. So I thought, why not pick the opposing goalie, maybe we'll start winning. So I did, and we did. And I never wished to stray, aside from the restrictions made by the game.

Re: RPI Pick-to-Click 2018-19

Friday
RPI ENGINEERS: KYLE HALLBAUER
red: Tristan Mullin

Saturday
RPI ENGINEERS: CHASE ZIEKY
dentrifrice: Trevor Cosgrove

Re: RPI Pick-to-Click 2018-19

Looks like Kyle Hallbauer is not playing tonight for some reason, so change my pick to Todd Burgess.

Re: RPI Pick-to-Click 2018-19

Congratulations to RPI fan 4 life on their fourth weekly win of the season, and to FlagDUDE08 for holding onto the top spot.

I was so right. Three RPI skaters were worth 2 PtC points on Friday, including Todd Burgess (RPI fan 4 life) who buried the overtime GWG. Jeff Malott (no one) scored both Cornell goals but they're losers so who cares.
Saturday was low-scoring and bleh, but Chase Zieky (lugnut92, RPI fan 4 life) and Owen Savory (FlagDUDE08, vizoroo) were the men to choose. Nobody earned any points of Colgate so I'm not even going to bother.

Results! (and link):
4+1 points
RPI fan 4 life

3 points
vizoroo

2 points
lugnut92
FlagDUDE08

1 point
Ralph Baer
engineerhockeyfan

I didn't catch it, but engineerhockeyfan did technically break the rules by switching Kyle Hallbauer to a forward, putting him over the 50 forward limit. It ended up not mattering so I'm going to say no harm no foul, but I want to reiterate that he may not choose any forwards this week. The only other limit is that FlagDUDE08 may pick no more than one goalie this week. I'm going to post these limits in the weekly setup post too to make sure you all see it.

Re: RPI Pick-to-Click 2018-19

Link back to the first post with details on scoring

This is it, the final weekend of the season. We host two squads of Yale rejects that we should consider beating. Harvard (16-8-3) is pushing for the title, so we can spoil that, and there's a decent chance we face Dartmouth (10-13-4) in the first round. Let's just get four points so we can whip on Union at home instead.

Picks must be in by 7:00 ET on Friday, March 1.

You may NOT choose the following players for this weekend:
RPI: Jacob Hayhurst, Ottoville Leppanen, and Will Reilly
Harvard: Casey Dornbach, Jack Drury, and Adam Fox
Dartmouth: Drew O'Connor, Quin Foreman, and Connor Yau

Statistics and Rosters
RPI: Statistics | Roster
Harvard: Statistics | Roster
Dartmouth: Statistics | Roster (Beware C./S. Hesler confusion)<hr> engineerhockeyfan may not pick any forwards this week.
FlagDUDE08 may pick no more than one goalie this week.

The positional pick limits will be removed in the playoffs.

Having to change https to http is getting boring.

You're not wrong. I'm not going to fuss with it since there's only a few more weeks (*knock on wood*) that I'll have to do this, but I may try and set something up with link shorteners to fix the problem going into next season.

Or we can just bug the guy who runs collegehockeystats to move into this century and set up https.

I was not only referring to collegehockeystats, but also to several of the leagues where our recruits are playing, e.g., NAHL and AJHL. At least I now understand what is happening,
