RPI Pick to Click 2016-17

Re: RPI Pick to Click 2016-17

Congratulations to ME! (and also engineerhockeyfan) for winning this week on the back of dirty dirty Princeton points. At least RPI scored goals in both games this weekend...

Speaking of RPI scoring goals in both games, they only had one in the first game, making Jared Wilson (ineligible) the Engineers' MVP. Both he and his helper were ineligible, so the only RPI player worth anything was goalie Cam Hackett (no one) with 47 saves and the quality start. Quinnipiac was a bit more productive with three skaters hitting the 3 PtC point mark: Bo Pieper (1-1–2; lugnut92, engineerhockeyfan), Landon Smith (0-3–3; vizoroo, RPI fan 4 life), and defenseman Luke Shiplo (1-0–1; no one). They're all mean and no one likes them.
Saturday night was a different story for RPI (well less a different story and more a different chapter in this depressing story of a season), as Jacob Hayhurst (Ralph Baer) tickled the twine twice and defensemen Mike Prapavessis (no one) and Will Reilly (no one) each added a couple helpers. On the other side of the puck, Max Véronneau (2-2–4; lugnut92) and Josh Teves (0-3–3; no one) each put up big fantasy points for the Tigers.

It's the last full weekend of the 2016 calendar year and RPI will make one last trek to Southern New England as they take on the pair of Ivies that also aren't doing so hot. Friday will see a game in my backyard against Yale, followed by a trip to Providence for a winnable game against Brown. We can beat Brown, right? Right???

Picks must be in by 7:00 ET on Friday.

You may NOT choose the following players for this game:
RPI: Evan Tironese, Riley Bourbonnais, and Jared Wilson
Yale: John Hayden, Joe Snively, and Adam Larkin
Brown: Sam Lafferty, Charlie Corcoran, and Max Gottlieb

Re: RPI Pick to Click 2016-17

lugnut.

I am posting this here because I know that you will read it. The North Jersey Avalanche Premier U16 team with RPI recruit Matt Cameron and many other future D-I players is playing a game on Wednesday, 1/25/17 at Ingalls rink if you are interested in attending. Luke Curadi is one of the coaches for the other team. http://www.atlantichockey.org/full_schedule.php?seasonid=23&leagueid=194&teamid=2156

They are also playing a game on 1/8/17 at Wesleyan. I am too lazy to look how far away that is, but it can't be far in Connecticut. :D

Thanks for the heads up! We'll have to check that out.

Wesleyan is like half an hour north of New Haven, so we certainly could go, but I wouldn't want to overdose on midget hockey.

It's quite exciting to see our future play in juniors, having gone to a couple games myself (the two times I went were during years we kicked ***; maybe I should go to another Juniors game at some point... :p)

Guess I shouldn't be in such a hurry and read. My pick was the top Hart on the statistics. Didn't even notice there was a H Hart until I looked at the Box. :o

Well normally in this situation I'd give you whichever Hart was worth less, but they both earned 4 PtC points.
