Re: RPI Pick to Click 2013-14: Revenge of the Nerds
Huge congratulations to RKarger! She wins two consecutive weekends, capitalizing on some big performances. With the two bonus points, she takes over the overall lead, too. Also a gigantic thank you to her for posting the lead-in.
Also, shame upon me for not doing any of the proper posting last week and being so late this week. I promise better performance through the rest of the season.
So, with that out of the way, let's go back in time and figure out who the big producers were.
Saturday against UNH:
Matt Neal (ehf) scored the game winner and assisted on Haggerty's powerplay goal, so he was worth 3 PtC points.
Jeff Silengo (Redaero) scored UNH's first goal midway through the game and
Matt Willows (nobody) potted the other.
Eric Knodel (hawthr, lugnut, Ralph , RKarger, and TuteScrooge) got the lone assist on Silengo's goal, making each of them worth 2 PtC points.
Tuesday against Harvard:
Brock Higgs (RKarger and RPI fan 4 life) had the beautiful diving goal, beating Michalek to the puck and also assisted on Haggerty's tally, so he was worth 3 PtC points.
Kevin Guiltinan (nobody) had the secondary assist on Harvard's second goal and the primary assist on the game tier, so he tallied 4 PtC points.
Friday at Harvard: The Engineers were shutout.

Therefore,
Raphael Girard (FlagDUDE) was the most valuable Crimson player. The most valuable skater for the Crimson was
Kyle Criscuolo (RKarger) who assisted on Vesey's goal and slotted the puck into the empty net to ice it away with 1:09 left. Thus ends the season series with Harvard.
Saturday at Dartmouth:
Brock Higgs (MavHockey, RKarger, and TuteScrooge) had a hat trick, the second for the Engineers this season. Unsurprisingly, he was the most valuable RPI skater at 6 points. That also keeps him in this "most valuable player" talk two weeks in a row.
Troy Crema (nobody) scored the Big Green's lone goal. In fact, nobody scored any points from their Dartmouth choice.
RKarger moved from 6th to 1st over the two weeks, as previously stated, bumping lugnut from the top of the standings. MavHockey is having a strong season, currently sitting at 3rd overall. Redaero has been in and out of the Top 10; she's in a tough battle with 1988. I keep falling lower and lower in the standings, currently sitting at 14th. But, at least I'm beating cnor!

Not to be a dick, but, no it doesn't. You're currently ahead of three regular posters. Your score is in the bottom quartile. If we only consider scores from opposing teams, you're in tenth (of 16) with 7 points, so, again, below the median. You're free to use whatever method you want when picking, but to claim that yours works is a stretch.
